Safety tips for using thermocouple sensors include proper installation to prevent damage, ensuring accurate temperature readings, and following safe practices in high-temperature environments. Avoid bending the protective tubing near the ends, keep the cold junction away from heat sources, and block any gaps around the sensor to prevent air convection. Secure the thermocouple to prevent excessive movement and vibration, especially in high-vibration applications, and always follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety protocols. 

• Proper immersion depth: Insert the thermocouple at least 8-10 times the outer diameter of the protective tube into the medium to be measured.
• Location: Place the sensor away from direct radiation, airflow, and the door of a furnace.
• Prevent air convection: Tightly block the gap between the protective tube and the furnace wall with refractory material to prevent heat loss or gain from air convection.
• Avoid strong fields: Install the thermocouple away from strong magnetic and electric fields. Do not run power cables in the same conduit as the thermocouple wires.
• Vertical placement: Install the thermocouple vertically as much as possible to prevent the protective tube from deforming under high temperatures. 

Handling and mechanical stress

● Avoid sharp bends: Do not bend the thermocouple at sharp angles, as this can break internal wires. Do not bend the soldered sections.

● Protect the lead wire: Do not allow the section connecting the protective tubing and lead wire to exceed the temperature limits for the specific model.

● Prevent vibration: Use appropriate supports and strain reliefs to secure the thermocouple and prevent excessive movement or vibration, which can cause wires to work-harden and break over time.

• Follow procedures: Always follow the manufacturer's installation and operation instructions.
• Train staff: Ensure all users are properly trained on the system's operation, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
• Regular inspection: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to check for signs of damage, wear, or fatigue.
• High-limit sensors: Utilize high-limit sensors to prevent runaway temperatures that can cause fires or equipment damage.
